Melbourne's best dog-friendly cafes!

Melbournians love to include their furry companions in their day-to-day activities. And as we all know, "eating out" is a significant part of our lives. While Melbourne is packed with dog-friendly venues, some of the cafes are really acing at the "dog-friendly" vibe. So here's a list of the cafes that we visited with our girls and absolutely loved!

1. GOOD TIMES MILK BAR

83 TUCKER ROAD, BENTLEIGH VICTORIA 3204

The first one on the list has to be this hidden gem in Melbourne's South-Eastern suburb of Bentleigh. With an off-leash courtyard, it is a dog parent's heaven. Your dog can enjoy this fully-fenced outdoor area along with a cup of Puppichino and meet other furry friends. Plus the hooman food is always made to perfection! And while you're there, don't forget to try their Dippy-eggs.

2. THE FARM CAFE

18 St Heliers St, Abbotsford VIC 30673

Set in the beautiful surrounds of Collingwood Children's Farm, this cafe with outdoor seating serves delicious breakfast, lunch, and all the good things in between. They're open 7 days a week from 9 AM. Go ahead and make a reservation ahead of time, cause they're pretty busy especially during school holidays and weekends (in general).

3. SWEET EVELYN

128 Union St, Brunswick VIC 3056

Don't let the shop front deceive you! Sweer Evelyn welcomes all furry friends with a beautiful green courtyard outdoor area behind the cafe. We love their superfood brekkie bowl! The hosts will make your four-legged companion feel super welcome with fresh water, treats, and many many pats!

4. CHAIN OF FOOLS

68 Beach Rd, Mentone VIC 3194

Take your pooch for a swim at the dog-friendly Mentone beach and then head to the local favorite - Chain of Fools for a delicious brunch by the water. There's always parking nearby, so you can dump the car and go enjoy the beach with the fam. And you will foolish to not stopover at this cafe for a scrumptious meal.

5. STRANGE SERVANT

109 Centre Dandenong Rd, Dingley Village, VIC 3172

Nestled within a small suburban pocket of the Dingley Village, this cafe addresses all your brunch cravings like no other. Their menu adds a twist to Melbourne classics. You've probably had smashed avo, but at Strange Servant’s it's “bashed”, then smeared with baba ganoush and chargrilled corn salsa. We were able to order poached eggs for our puppers and the friendly staff served them in proper bowls along with water and fresh carrots! All in all, it's a lovely spot to hang out with your pooch and meet the needs of your taste buds!
